Khaled Al-Ansari
Khaled graduated from TU in 1989 and joined Qatar Petroleum as a drilling engineer. He subsequently became senior reservoir engineer. Currently he is Development Team Head of two offshore fields which are 100% operated by QP. These two fields provide 30 % of the total oil production from QP. Khaled is very active in TU activities and is always enthusiastic about arranging alumni functions. He also participates in many SPE activities. Khaled in his own words: Why did you choose TU? TU is well known in Qatar. Many senior staff at QP has graduated from TU. I was advised by my supervisors to join TU because of TU’s reputation in Petroleum Engineering. How did TU’s education help you achieve your goals? The education was very useful to me. I consider TU to be one of the best Petroleum Engineering programs even today. Any fond memories? I miss the friendly atmosphere which made me welcome at the University. I also miss the soccer tournaments which we used to play. |
